My friends and I had a great night at Union 50! I had never been before and we went with a large group for a bachelorette party. The team that helped my group was attentive, patient, and willing to accommodate when needed. We had a great time and I was extremely impressed with both the food and drinks. My chicken was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor! I will definitely be back for a date-night in the near future.

We hosted one of my best friends birthday dinner here. This was my first time at union 50 and I was very impressed. The service was beyond amazing. Our server was very attentive and made our night so fun. I got the swordfish dish and OH MY GOODNESS, I will be dreaming about this dish. The ceviche rice paired so amazing with the swordfish and the sauce was impeccable. I told my fiance we have to come back here for a date night. I got the cocktail blind leading the blind and it was so good. I got two and all the other girls got it also. I told the server we were celebrating our friend birthday and she brought out desert for us. The girls got into it before I could take a picture but we got the carrot cake because a table next to us recommended it and it was amazing! Def 12/10 experience and food!

one of our favorite places to eat and drink! Went to check out the mocktail selection... while they only technically have one option on the menu, it was very good and i felt like i was drinking a cocktail. I asked the waiter if they could make a different one off menu and they delivered... it was also very good and complex with lots of flavor. everything you are looking for in a mocktail and service!! Bartenders here truly know what they are doing. great casual atmosphere with delicious food. The charcuterie board and fries never disappoint! Hoping in the future they will have a true mocktail menu with more options.

.......top notch everything. Meatloaf was amazing, charcuterie board was great ( Wagyu salami!!). Freestyled a drink and the bartender nailed it ( Whiskey Smash mojito + egg white ). Best place on Mass Ave, by far.

Ambiance: Came here with a big party and enjoyed the atmosphere. They do a good job of using mixed textures and materials so it has a upscale feel while still being casual and relaxed environment. The tables are generously spaced and the music obtrusive so it was very easy to have a conversation across the table without yelling. Our server was excellent, making helpful recommendations and making sure drinks were refilled. Food: We shared their two poutine offerings and found both very enjoyable. The pastrimi one is obviously heartier and more savory but the chiliquiles one was also very good with a brighter tangier sauce. The fries have a little crisp to them but have more of that frites texture than your standard american fry. Many of us got the lamb shank and I was the odd one out who wasn't a big fan. The dish itself is well composed with a creamy corn fundido, flavorful tomatillo salsa, and pickled onions all complementing each other extremely well. I would have ordered the fundido as entire side-dish if it was available, it was that good. Texturally, the lamb was perfectly cooked and easily pulled from the shank into bite-sized pieces. The only thing that ruined my experience was the noticeable gamey-ness of the lamb which I'm not normally sensitive to as I eat goat and lamb on most menus I find it on. Again, none of the other 5 people who got the dish seemed to notice so maybe it was just a fluke. Despite me not liking the lamb, I liked everything else about the restaurant. Their sauces in particular are impeccable, their portions are appropriate for the price, their preparation of the ingredients equally superb. They impressed me with everything besides the lamb flavor that I would gladly come back again and try other things on their menu.

I think this is the best restaurant I've eaten in Indy yet. My husband visited a few weeks ago with friends and has been raving about it since, so we took my mother in law for her birthday. Every single thing we ate was delectable. I'd highly recommend the salmon and the poutine - the poutine was so delicious that we ordered bread to lap up the extra gravy once the fries were gone! The food is unique, and I truly don't think there is a bad thing on the menu. The staff was very kind and accommodating, and the atmosphere was dark, moody, and trendy. It's a tad pricey, so I'd recommend coming for a special event or date night. Worth every penny!

Thought I'd do another annual update since this place never disappoints! Have scored the vast majority of my CRG points at Union 50, and even if I end up getting the same things over and over again it always hits the spot. Outdoor seating when its nice out, counter seating when its for 1-3, 4 top at the bar when its 4, or the badass cubicles when you have a big group, this place has nailed every configuration! Food wise, not much to say besides its a super consistent menu where you know exactly what you are getting. When you don't feel like getting actual food, you can totally get by on charcuterie + fries (love their sauce selections) + mussels.

Steak was very good! Although perhaps slightly overcooked (because I was cautious and said "medium-well" instead of medium) to avoid previous issues of being a little under cooked. All that to say, these cooks know how to cook a great steak so get what you want! Muscles, sticky wings & fries for appetizers were a hit!

What a beautiful building! I was so surprised when walking in! Love the seating arrangements and how open it is. We had 3 large tables and service was so fast and smooth! All of our drinks and food arrived quickly. I had one of the mocktails that was fruity and tasty! We had a variety of dishes: mussels, wings, fries, duck, salmon, steak. Everyone enjoyed their dishes! The sauces with the fries were really good. I would definitely come back! Note: parking can be hard to find on the street

The food was food as were the signature drinks. We called ahead because there were 7 of us and the had the table ready when we got there 30 minutes later. The server told us about the food and drink menus and we ordered charcuterie and the crab cake appetizers. The bread, olive oil, crab cake and charcuterie pleased everyone. I had the salmon over sticky rice. Two others chose the short rib special over mashed sweet potatoes! If I ate beef I would have liked that and both of them ate it all! Prices are as expected $20-50 per plate. The restaurant had a large bar taking up the back wall with ample seating throughout! The kitchen chefs were partially visible as well as the food expediter. Classy but comfortable. Worth the trip downtown!
